Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form or request a quote we receive what you enter: your name, email address, phone number if you choose to give one, company name, the products and quantities you list, and any notes you add.

Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how the site is used and whether our advertising works. These services set cookies and collect information such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, your approximate location, and how you arrived at the site.

Bot protection. Our forms are protected by Vercel BotID, which analyses browser signals to tell people from automated traffic. It does not identify you personally.

How we use it

To respond to your inquiry, prepare a quote, and arrange pickup, shipping and payment if you sell to us.

To keep a record of the quotes and transactions we have handled.

To measure how visitors use the site and whether our advertising is effective, and to keep the site secure.

We do not use your information for any purpose unrelated to our business, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run this site for us: Vercel (hosting and bot protection), Resend (delivering form submissions to our inbox), and Google (analytics and advertising). Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own marketing.

We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights, property or safety.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries and quote requests for as long as we need them to handle your request and to maintain ordinary business records, then delete them. Analytics data is retained according to Google's settings for our account.

Your choices

You can browse the site without submitting any form. Analytics and advertising cookies can be blocked in your browser settings, and Google offers an opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics.

To ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email surplustoner@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
